Resolute in his defense of Marxism-Leninism and his critiques of Mao Zedong and Maoism, William B. Bland played a pivotal role in the development of the Marxist-Leninist Organisation of Britain (MLOB), which was formed after the 1967 Conference for Marxist Unity. The organization ultimately split in 1974, but during its existence, MLOB published an array of materials, including bulletins and circulars. The organization also produced materials related to art through the League of Socialists Artists, and published the party organ Red Front, which has a dedicated archive on MIA.
