This is the first issue of JOURNAL, the political organ of I Wor Kuen (IWK). It will be published irregularly (approximately 3-4 times annually) and will contain official positions and statements of IWK, as well as documents of others that we believe are a contribution to the revolutionary movement.
I Wor Kuen is an Asian American organization based on Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse-Tung Thought. It is our goal to work with all honest forces to build a new communist party that will be able to correctly lead the American revolutionary movement.
The political and ideological struggle to develop a correct Marxist-Leninist line is intensifying and it is our hope that this JOURNAL will be a positive addition to this movement. We encourage criticisms and comment on the JOURNAL.
In future issues we plan to publish articles on our position on the national question, party building, the united front among the Chinese national minority, the student movement, the history of I Wor Kuen, the trade union question, and others. We hope that you will subscribe to receive the future issues of the IWK JOURNAL.
