I think we should speak in his favour. Don’t forget, the people who have expelled him are scoundrels, opportunists.

Write about this.

I hope you have wound up the Guilbeaux “affair” in the sense of having fully recognised him as rehabilitated. Give him my regards. Where is he?

When will the French edition of The State and Revolution appear?^[2] Have I time to write a preface against Vandervelde?
