The Sixth Conference of the Communist Party was held in the Caxton Hall, Salford, Manchester, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 16th, 17th, and 18th, 1924.
The greater part of the deliberations were held in private, and as much of the discussion was upon details of organisation, the Central Committee have decided that it is unnecessary to reprint them verbatim.
We give, therefore, in this booklet the Executive Report and Resolutions as finally adopted by the Conference, and with them the chief speeches—those of the Chairman of the opening session (W. Gallacher), of the reporter for the Executive (T. Bell), in introducing the resolutions on the Labour Government and the Labour Party, and that of J. T. Murphy, in introducing the resolution on the Programme. The speech of the international delegate has already been given in the Communist Review, June, 1924, and is, therefore, not reproduced here.
