Decree of the National Convention
Of the 23 of Brumaire, second year of the French Republic, one and indivisible.

Bearing upon the fact that the Jacobin Society has not for one instant ceased deserving the recognition of the fatherland.

The National Convention, on the motion made by a member to decree that the Jacobin Society has deserved the recognition of the fatherland by giving a new manifestation of its zeal for the triumph of revolutionary principles, passes to the order of the day, motivated by the fact that this celebrated society has not for one instant ceased to deserve the recognition of the fatherland.
