A Message of Thanks to Supporters of the Cuban Revolution

From a Cuban prisoner of war

May 1st, 2003

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Please allow me to express to you our most sincere congratulations for this very important day for all of the workers of the world, and reiterate to you our immense gratitude for your solidarity efforts that made possible our release from the punishment cells. In these difficult times, where some people tend to bend according to the direction that the wind is blowing, the solidarity of those who do not give in is more important than ever.

These are the people who recognize the rights of the Cubans to make the reality of their dreams peacefully. Those who can disagree without denigrating and without running to place themselves together with the traditional enemies who examine the Cuban Revolution under their own microscope to get what they want to see. Thanks to you Brothers and Sisters for your solidarity, for your Dignity and for your Bravery!

Hasta la Victoria Siempre!

Gerardo Hernández Nordelo,
Lompoc Federal Prison, California
