Carlson, Grace (1906-92). A Minneapolis physician, politician and one of the SWP members convicted in the 1941 sedition trials. After her prison sentence, she became an activist for better conditions for women prisoners. She was the SWP candidate for national offices in 1946, ’48 and ’50. She left the SWP in 1952 citing conflict with her Catholic beliefs.
