(This is a resolution passed by the Central Committee of the Communist Labor Party on Comrade Mao Tsetung.)

Mao Tsetung belongs to the ages. History is moulded by men just as surely as men are moulded by history. Comrade Mao appeared on the scene of history during a crucial moment in the process of the great Chinese revolution. A man of gigantic intellectual and revolutionary energy, Mao developed into an historic social force. Comrade Mao imparted to the Chinese revolution its specific features, features that characterized this great revolutionary, the undisputed leader of the Chinese people. Comrade Mao was a social force because he possessed qualities that made him singularly capable of serving the great revolutionary need of his time. The political victory of the Chinese socialist revolution, coupled with the devastating betrayal of the world revolution by the Krushchev grouping in the Soviet Union, placed Comrade Mao in the position of moral, intellectual and political leader of the International resistance to modern revisionism. Comrade Mao’s faith in the masses, his unswerving reliance on the world emancipating theory of Marxism-Leninism has been an indispensible factor in the resurgence of scientific socialism.

This meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Labor Party, extends to the Chinese people a comradely hand of condolence in this moment of national loss and personal sorrow.
