Comrade Babkin:
I have received and read your papers.
Give your business proposals concerning the shipment of fish and the success of the autumn fishing right away (25/VII) to Avanesov for introduction in the C.L.D. (and to Potyaev, of course, in the first place).
We shall let you have a holiday, if the doctor says so, and puts it in writing that the holiday cannot be deferred until the winter. Otherwise you can have it in winter.
I advise you to have a personal talk with Potyaev and to remove his doubts about “rivalry” on your part. Everything will be settled if you want it.
Who is it specifically of the “local” workers that is dissatisfied with Potyaev? Why? When and where has this been stated?
I don’t believe it: this is nothing but a squabble; we shall settle it.
24/VII.
With communist greetings,
Lenin
